Autism-friendly relaxed screenings on Sundays (monthly)

The Electric palace is introducing neurodivergent friendly screenings once a month on a Sunday. So many of us love film but find accessing the cinema difficult. Please tell everyone you can about this if they suffer with anxiety and going out, but love to watch films. 

Date: Sunday November 17th at 3.00pmTiming: Doors open at 2.30pm and film starts at 3pm Film:  ‘Amelie’ plus short film ‘The Holiday Makers’ Cost: £10 (double ticket – bring a trusted friend for free)You can book in advance if you want to guarantee your seat, or you can pay in cash or card on the door as long as not sold out)

This screening has been curated by neurodivergent young curator Robin Elliott-Knowles and Eggtooth Film Club and will kick-start this new strand… please can you share this link with your networks as we really want to welcome new audiences to the cinema and are working hard to make our venue a safe space for everyone. 

These screenings are different from regular film screenings because:

* the lights are low instead of completely off, so you can still see where you are going

* the volumen is a little lower than a standard screening

* you can move around the cinema freely as you wish during the screening

* you can leave the cinema room without having to worry

* you can make noise, stim and enjoy yourself

* there is a friendly atmosphere

* there are people around if you need any help
