Industrial Action

On the 1^st August GPs voted to take industrial action and as a partnership, Hastings & Rother Healthcare voted to do so.  Unlike recent industrial action taken by other NHS staff groups, this is not a strike. 

The Industrial Action will involve the following:

• Working to safe BMA guidelines
• Reviewing the effectiveness and purpose of our data-sharing agreements
• Reviewing discretionary services that sit outside of our core contract
• Assessing the appropriateness of our Shared Care agreements
• Sign posting/referring patients to the appropriate service to best suit the patients needs
• Declining or returning requests from other providers which should sit within their remit
• As shared care is voluntary, we reserve the right to decline on grounds of clinical safety and capacity reasons
