Response to increased Coronavirus (COVID-19) community transmission

Dear patients,

We have received new guidance from NHS Sussex in regards to the increase in community transmission and COVID-19 Positive cases.

Given the recent South East increase in COVID-19 community cases, increase in the R value (1.1- 1.54) and a growth rate of between 3-7% daily of new infections, we have been advised to review and implement the following changes:

  • All patients are required to wear face masks whilst on the premises
  • In clinical areas, staff are required to wear face masks
  • In waiting areas, we will encourage social distancing, chairs must be at least 1M apart from each other
  • Improve ventilation by opening windows and doors, (being mindful of patient confidentiality and privacy)

As of Monday 11th July, these changes will come into effect.

Best wishes, Hastings & Rother Healthcare.
